We are implementing MRP / Inventory Planning / Production Orders / Bill of Materials in 25R2. I want to exclude certain sales order types from creating demand. I am not seeing anything in inventory planning preferences or in the order types to exclude from demand which was part of the original ask. I do see on certain order types there is the include returns in inventory planning supply.
Our use case is the company runs in multiple ways, we have production / manufacturing where we are using Inventory Planning we have those Sales Orders set up as a type where we allow production to be triggered, but we have plenty of other order types that we use in the Construction side of the business to move warehouse materials to site and we do NOT want those orders being included in our demand requirements.
Anyone else run into a similar issue? How did you resolve? My inventory ID can be used in BOM’s or Projects. Warehouse locations are able to mark for IP use, but the Sales Order does not show locations, my only other thought is a “phantom” warehouse, but I would really rather not do that unless I have no other choice.
