I am trying to enter a Disassembly for a Production Order. I entered the original Production Order number in the References tab, but Materials in the Disassembly order are using their current cost.

The reason we are doing the Disassembly order is to correct the inaccurate Materials cost from the original Production Order. How can we get the original Production Order “reversed” using the original costs?

Disassembly isn’t intended to ‘reverse’ the exact production costs.

That can only be done before you close the Production order by performing negative move transactions.

Is the production order you want to reverse closed?

We introduced a Production Order “Lock” status so that transacting against a Production Order could be prevented while the cost accountant reviewed everything.  Then the Cost accountant can perform the Close process.

If you have not implemented this flow, I would recommend it.
