Historical WIP report?

Does anyone know of a historical WIP report for production?

I have a customer who would like to be able to see what was in WIP on any given day, to be able to show auditors.

      There is one for projects, but i haven’t seen one for Production. It would be nice, at least to be able to do it by financial period if not by day.
