Hi all,

Is it possible to create a BOM for a non-stock item? As my team described it to me, they want to do this as it’s not an “item” per se but more of a “service” with no on-hand inventory levels. Is this possible? Any docs/tutorials on this if it is possible?

The inventory ID of a BOM header needs to be a stock item.

If you need to build a non-stock item, have you considered using the kits within Acumatica? You can utilize stock and non-stock items for the kits and define both stock/non-stock components.

MRP/DRP will both handle sales and forecasts for stock and non-stock kits.  In sales demo, can see both stock and non-stock kits in Kit Specifications.
