Recently we have noticed that one of our dashboards no longer follows the sorting order that can be found in the GI. Previously the GI sorted on a flag that showed if an order was priority or not; the sort order was this flag, followed by the ship date. It now will only sort on the ship date. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

I just tested this on 25R2 Modern UI, assuming you're using a Widget with the Data Table type, and wasn't able to reproduce the same behavior.
I'd suggest checking whether filtering and sorting on the GI, and filtering on the Dashboard, might be removing records you expected to see at the top of the list.
If that doesn't help, please let me know what Acumatica version and UI you're using, and what changes you made recently that caused it to stop working.
If your GI doesn't use any custom data, you can share the XML files for the GI and Dashboard so I can take a closer look.

I am on 25r2 with the classic UI. The sorting on the GI works like this: we a have a field that searches for a key word in the Notes of the Sales Order. If that key word is present the field populates with a 1 or if it is not present, a zero. It then sorts on the Ship By Date. On the GI this works perfectly with the ‘1’s’ all showing at the top. When we look at the dashboard widget, it is sorting by ship by date instead.
