I have a field called ref number which need to be auto numbered?
How to do it. Any Idea?

Have you checked below link?
 

  • Create a Numbering Sequence from the Numbering Sequences (CS201010) screen.
  • Create a custom field in the setup screen to assign the newly created numbering sequence.
  • Add this numbering sequence to your custom field (e.g., RefNbr).
