JAMIS Prime Action Required: Browser Compatibility Update!
- Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are built on the Chromium platform. Microsoft and Google have announced that Chromium will discontinue support for certain legacy XSLT functionality that older versions of JAMIS Prime depend on. As browser vendors adopt these Chromium changes (to prevent potential security risks), customers running affected versions of JAMIS Prime may begin to experience functionality issues, application errors, or reduced usability following future browser updates scheduled for November 17, 2026.
- For customers who are unable to upgrade immediately, Firefox and Safari are expected to remain compatible after November 17, 2026, and may be used as an interim solution. However, relying on alternative browsers should be viewed only as an interim solution while planning and completing the necessary JAMIS Prime upgrade.
- To ensure uninterrupted access to JAMIS Prime and avoid unexpected disruptions to business operations, we strongly recommend upgrading to a supported version before these browser changes take effect. The supported releases of JAMIS Prime are Version 8 Update 15 (with the required patch) and Version 9 Update 6, which is expected to be available in late September. Applying these updates will ensure continued compatibility with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and help maintain a secure, reliable user experience.
- Our Customer Experience team is ready to assist throughout the process. We can help evaluate your current environment, identify the appropriate upgrade path, coordinate scheduling, answer technical questions, and provide guidance to help ensure a smooth transition with minimal impact to your users and business operations. To contact the team email cx@jamis.com. Don't wait until a browser update impacts your users—start to begin planning your upgrade today.
- The JAMIS Prime releases that will support Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge after these Chromium changes are Version 8 Update 15 (with the required patch) and Version 9 Update 6, expected to be available in late September. Customers running versions earlier than Version 8 Update 15 should begin planning their upgrade immediately to avoid service disruptions after the Chromium browser changes take effect.
