Hi, @dales50 Import Scenario will work the same as how we are doing it on the screen level.

In the Contacts screen, since it is showing the “Contact Name”, we need to use the same in the Import Scenario.

@Naveen Boga the ContactID has to stay the unique identifier to properly map the records from one system to another.  The “Name” is not unique and causes issues.

Has anyone successfully updated a Contact record in an Import Scenario using the Actual ContactID field and is it possible that the ContactID field can be manually set outside of the system or define a separate field for lookup as an “ExternalID”?

The ContactID field in the database is a number.

The visible “Contact” on the screen is not the ID but a visible representation of the Full Name associated with the record.

The database table has a field DisplayName which is what is showing on the Contacts screen.

It is not unique in the database.

The screen says it’s the “ContactID” field but the screen puts in another value
