We are trying to get product images to display on the mobile app (Warehouse Management > Item Lookup) in 25R2 but have not been successful. It is not working like it did in 25R1. In 25R1, if you upload an image to the Files area, it will show up on the Attributes tab, and it will display on the mobile app. In the Item Lookup, if you click the paperclip icon, you will see a thumbnail (and you can load a larger image if necessary).
This same behavior is not working in 25R2. Acumatica moved the image upload from the Attributes tab to the Description tab as discussed here:
Apparently, this change has caused the image display issue on the mobile app.
Furthermore, we have not been able to capture images using the camera on a mobile device. We have tried both iPhone and Google Pixel. In multiple tests, we were not able to upload images to a stock item via the Item Lookup utility. We can take a picture and upload it, but it results in the error: “Error uploading file.” Again this works fine in 25R1.
Questions:
- Does anyone know of a workaround? Is there currently a way to upload images to where they will display on the mobile app in 25R2?
- Is there a way to import a large number of images via an import scenario for the purpose of displaying on the mobile app?
We have a client whose warehouse employees need to look up product images on mobile devices daily. The ideal scenario would be:
- Externally store 30k product images (Amazon or Azure)
- Import all these external URLs via an import scenario
- Enable these to show on the mobile app (Item Lookup)
That would be ideal, however, we would settle for internal Acumatica storage of the images if we had to in order to get them to display on the mobile app.
