Import Vendor - Creating New Vendors (Worked in Test Not in Production)

Good day,

I set this import scenario in my test system  It worked no problem creating vendors.  New vendor IDs were created (Auto Numbered).  I added a complete additional fields.  Not it give the BA can’t be blank message.

Help or pointing me the right direction would greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Does your Live company already have some existing vendors? 

If the answer is Yes - Your Vendors are auto-numbered in Live and some vendors already exist:

Try changing the Excel so that the lowest Vendor Number in column A of your Excel is higher than the highest vendor number that already exists in your Acumatica.

For example, instead of 00001, 00002, 00003 etc. in Excel Column A,  try X00001, X00002, X00003 and see whether this new sequence allows Acumatica to import the vendors.

Hi Evan,

I notice in your screen shot above, the Vendor ID is called “Vendo ID”.

When I imported your XML, the Import Scenario has 2 attachments, and neither has a column called “Vendo ID”.

Different Headers in Column A

This looks like a possible  mis-match problem with column headings for the Key Field Vendor ID. It seems the column headers don’t match the import scenario mappings.

 

Please check your headings, refresh your file and try again.

Still having the same error.  I even tried creating a new import scenario.  I would be nice if it gave you some hint at the error.  I need these vendors in production like now.

I am open to anyone with a suggestion.

Tried a simpler version.  No luck.
