I followed a couple of posts on Kit Specifications, this is working except for the first line selects a random item, then the following lines are correct.  Appreciate it if someone could show me what is wrong with this import.

@robgriffin00 I’ve reviewed your import and made a few modifications. It’s now working as expected. Please find the attached screenshots for your reference.

Naveen, thank you very much for taking the time to look at this and provide the correction.  It does in fact work correctly now.  Perhaps just a recap of the why to help others that view this post.  There were three changes you made:

  1. I had Kit Inventory ID > Inventory ID you changed to you changed to Kit Inventory ID
  2. I had the Save checked on the Kit Inventory Summary you unchecked Save
  3. On the UOM I had the Component ID > Sales Unit you changed to UOM

I was not clear on the “Why” of these three changes.  Thank you.

@robgriffin00 Please find the details below.

  1. I had Kit Inventory ID > Inventory ID → I changed to Kit Inventory ID as this is right field and Kit Inventory ID > Inventory ID is nothing but you are assigning to the Inventory ID of Kit Inventory ID lookup field, which is not correct.
  2. I had the Save checked on the Kit Inventory Summary you unchecked Save → Save can be done at last after entering the header and line deatils hence unchecked.
  3. On the UOM I had the Component ID > Sales Unit you changed to UOM → Yes, there is NO Sales Unit field in the line leve, we have only UOM field.

I’ve tried using the above scenario to add a new kit specification, but am getting the following error:

This is the Import Scenario I’m using:

Is there something I’m doing wrong? Does the kit spec name need to be in the system first and this just adds the components of the kit?

Thanks for your time!

@mikewolbert  Based on the above error, can you please check if the Item is marked as “Is Kit”?
