Is there a way to download attachments without a customization?

Manually or a group of attachments?  You can download from the list of attachments on a record by clicking the download button:

No they want to download all attachments from all Quick checks in one ‘export’ process

That would need a customization project.  Check with your partner to see if they have the dev resources to be able to help you with this.  If not, your partner can collaborate with other partners like my firm that have a lot of developers on staff.
