You have insufficient rights to access the object (AP642010)

Has anyone run into this issue, we are setting up emailing in our Acumatica system. To make IT’s life easier, we are giving view access to the users to view the email templates. However, I have one user in Accounting who is getting this error when trying to access the AP Vendor Payment Email Template.

 

All security groups/ roles have view only access to the email templates, but my user is unable to view this one template and I have no idea why.

What access am I missing to allow him to view this email template? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,

If you log in as an administrator, you can open the Email Template screen and from the Parameters Icon at the top right, open the Access Rights.

A user may may be assigned multiple roles. Maybe there is 1 role that is assigned that revoke the access of the table behind the Email Template screen. 

At the Access Rights by Role, there is an Hidden folder in which you will see Email Activity and other related screens. To use an email template, user needs access to Email Activities as well as other email related forms as well.

I was able to figure it out, turns out the user didn’t have access to one specific screen, once I granted that access, he was able to view the email template.
