Why does Acumatica not have an Equity GL account type

I would like to create a few Account Classes that have an “Equity” account type associated to them. (for example, “Common Stock” and “Paid In Equity”).  But that “type” of account type does not exist and there is no way to add a new type.

Why was this excluded?  Is there a work-around for that?

Equity accounts are Liabilities in Acumatica.

As @Laura02  mentioned, those account classes can be configured under the liability account type currently. You can vote on the above-mentioned product ideas.
