Restricitng specific users access to specific financial reports

Is there a way in one can restrict the access of users to specific financial statements, so that once a user has created a report, other users who have access to the finacial reports are not able to modify the newly created report?

In other words, we are looking for a way to protect individual reports being modified by other users with similar roles.

​@suemackeown13  If I correctly understand what you’re trying to accomplish, your best bet will be to create a new role specifically for a report or group of reports that should have similar access, then give that role just to the person or persons who should have access to the report.
