Recurring (Bi-Weekly) Billing of a Project Task

@Naveen, colleagues,

what is the best way of setting up a Project with recurring billing to generate Invoices every second week/bi-weekly? 

We’ve added the Projects Module recently; before the addition, the bi-weekly billing was achieved by setting up a schedule for AR Invoices.

We bill clients in accordance with contracts every second week. The amounts are fixed and change only once a year. From time to time, we also re-bill Customers for some supplies. Now we need to get it automated with the Projects Module.

Using recurring AR transaction seems to be correct option here. One could have required Project and Task linked on detail line level. I could not find an option to generate Project task linked transaction bi-weekly as its linked to Project billing.

Hello,

I am curious about this as well. We have a project that has multiple tasks with different periods of performance. Accounting for that through recurring AR invoices seems like an additional, complicated step. Is there no way to set up a recurring billing schedule in the project itself? Then ideally we’d be able to use that to forecast our revenue into the future.

The Project Task has a Recurring Billing tab, where you can add items that will be billed based upon the frequency setup at the project level.  Options are Weekly, Month, Quarter, Year, On Demand.

For your scenario for Bi-weekly, it looks like AR recurring is the only way.
