Project Accountant Access role

As you said ‘Reclassify Bill’ feature in AP. Do you mean Reclassification Account in the Bill screen? If so, you use the Access Rights feature to assign permissions to Users.

About "post costs to closed Projects" => We cannot select and post closed projects on the Bill screen.

The Project Accountant role doesn’t grant access to any screens (I think) but it has some hard coded abilities to post into projects that are at various stages of completion (similar to how the Financial Supervisor can post into closed periods).

• Project Accountant: A user with this role can upload and process GL and PM transactions for project tasks with the Completed, Canceled, or In Planning status, while all other users are not able to process transactions for such project tasks.

​@nhatnghetinh  - I’m talking about this action in the Bills & Adj screen.

​@meganfriesen37  - yes I’m wondering what item in the Access rights gives permission to Reclassify Bill. I want to grant that permission without giving that Project Accountant role since it allows posting to closed projects.

I think this is available only when user has either Project Accountant or Financial Supervisor role as per my testing and findings in local.

Sorry ​@nhatnghetinh  - I appreciate the detailed instructions. But what I’m looking for….
I want to PROVIDE the ability for an AP Clerk (for example) to Reclassify Bill, but NOT provide the ability to post to closed Projects.

Unfortunately ​@Chris Hackett  - no.
A user set up as AP Admin does not have access to ‘Reclassify Bill’ - only if I provide the Project Accountant role - not optimal.

Here to say I also am running into this issue. Where I need to grant a user access to reclassify a bill, but not give them project accountant role access. I have gone through the user permissions screens and selected ‘ Edit ‘ for Reclassify bills under their existing roles, but it still will not grant them the access they need.
