Is it possible to allow User access to post journal transaction to closed projects

The Financial user has access to user role Financial Supervisor. This allow the user to post transaction to closed periods.  This however does not apply to closed Project and Project Task, i.e. Project Task with a closed status.

Is it possible to allow a super user access to post to closed projects?

The error when a Journal transaction to a closed period that is allocated to a project & project task as follow:

“An error occurred during processing of the field Project value 4102 PM Error: You have no permission to use project tasks with the Completed, Canceled, or In Planning status for data entry. “

No this is not possible with out a customisation but i would as why you would be trying to post to a Project that is closed/cancelled etc.

You could create your own workflow states using a customisation so you could set the Project to your own States. We did this for a customer so introduced a Finished State so Project could no longer be edited etc but the accountants could still post/make changes and they would then close it.

  • Project Accountant: A user with this role can upload and process GL and PM transactions for project tasks with the Completed, Canceled, or In Planning status, while all other users are not able to process transactions for such project tasks.
