Customer on credit hold or inactive

When a customer is set to credit hold or inactive they do pop up in the search.  My concern with this is we had an employee accidently create a new customer for someone that was previously set on credit hold (also happened for one set as inactive) that we shouldn’t be selling to due to past due account.  How is this best handled in the system so employees are seeing these customers when searching.

Hello,

One easy, free option to avoid duplicate Customer entry is retraining employees to look at the Customers Preview List before adding new customers.   Consulting Customers preview list before adding a new customer will help eliminate the problems you describe. 

All Customers can be seen in the Customer List -including Credit Hold; see below. 

Credit Hold customers are hidden when using Look-up features inside documents.
