Cash Summary GI (CA0002DB) - Unable to get the Account Description to display (24.211.0024)

Hello Community,

 

While exploring the Controller dashboard I tried to modify the Cash Position widget to display the Account Description instead of the Account Code.  I took at look at the underlying GI, CA0002DB, which has the Account Description selected, active, and visible. However, when you view the GI results the Account Description does not appear and it is not available in the Column Configuration window.

I have tried removing the field and then adding it but there is no change.

What am I missing?

I was able to get this to work by swapping out the data field highlighted above to just “Description”
 

Column is then available to be included in the inquiry view:

I also don't understand why GI has Account.AccountCD_Description but when VIEW INQUIRY it is not displayed. Try adding GLHistory.AccountID_Description. I see GI displayed with this field.

I’m wondering if Account.AccountCD_Description is maybe an older/deprecated field.  Try Account.Description to get the account description field.
