Cannot release payment after reversing application

Hi Community

I have ha this issue before but I cannot remember how I resolved it.

Client wants to reverse application on a payment but cannot release the document. It gives the error 

“The document is out of the balance.”

They do not want to allocate another invoice immediately.

Please remind me of the solution.
