Payment has been made so status of the invoice and memo should be closed. The ‘Pay’ button is still enabled. I want to complete the project but this is preventing me from doing so. The application tab on the invoice shows a payment line of closed status.

In the case of invoices with retainage, when a payment is applied to such invoices and the payment is processed and released, the system reduces the invoice balance by the amount paid. Upon release of the payment, the customer balance is reduced by the paid amount, and the corresponding GL accounts are updated.
However, if the retainage has not been processed, the invoice continues to remain in an Open status.
