Add Attributes to Chart of Accounts

Good day Community

My client needs to add a different group or class to their COA in order to be able to report to their Head Office, who have a very different structure to their reporting. 

I considered adding the group as an attribute but I don’t see how this is possible for COA so I could then add to the TB or another report.

Here is a small example. The additional grouping is COGNOS

Account Class Cognos Type Description
11111 CASH BANK Cash_bank Asset Bank Account - Current
11150 CASH BANK CashFloats Asset Petty Cash
11201 ACCREC OTH Prepay_Other2 Asset

I believe we cannot add attributes to the Chart of Accounts (COA) screen.
Instead, I recommend adding a custom field to the screen based on your requirement — either a text field or a dropdown field, whichever suits the use case best.

    ​@BarbaraPietersen23 as ​@Ankita Tayana says you cannot add an attribute to this screen. It would be a customisation (simple) one to add a text field or dropdown field with predefined selections.
