Is there a warning when an Appointment status is changed to Completed, but the detailed lines are in the status of Not Finished?

Is there a warning or any fail safe to prevent an Appointment from being changed to Completed status when the detailed lines are in the status of not Finished?

@MFarnsworth10 No. The Complete action doesn't check for detail lines that are already Not Finished, so nothing warns you or stops it. The one warning in that area, "Appointment not finished.", sits on the header Finished check box and doesn't look at the lines.

What Complete does check comes from two settings on Service Order Types (FS202300): Status to Set for In Process Items and Status to Set for Not Started Items. Both default to Completed on a new type. When you click Complete, In Process lines get the first status and Not Started lines get the second. If your type has the first one set to Not Finished, Complete is what's putting those lines in Not Finished.

For a fail safe, set them to In Process and Not Started. Then Complete stops with this error until the tech sets a status on each open line: "The appointment cannot be completed because it contains detail lines with the Not-Started or In-Process status." Try it in a test tenant first, since it changes completion for every appointment of that type.

It still won't catch a line that's already Not Finished. Complete accepts that status, and it moves the service order line to Requiring Scheduling so the rest of the work can go on a follow-up appointment. A hard stop on those would take a customization.
