Hi! Is there a way to do dropshipments for service orders? We’re looking for functionality similar to sales orders where a line can be marked for PO and dropshipped.

Hi @estebanperalta54 !

In Service Management, Service Orders don’t support drop-ship type purchase orders. You can create standard Purchase Orders, but drop-ship POs aren’t supported from Service Orders.

As a workaround, you could create a sales order first (which hadles drop-ship POs), handle the purchases using the sales order, then create a service order only for the services that will be provided (exclusing the items that would be purchased).

I hope that helps.

That is a painfully tedious workaround, when the vendor insists that they drop ship to the customer, but your technician must still go do the work to complete the service order. It would save considerable time and minimize errors if we had the ability to process a drop shipment directly on a service order.
