Hi All

I’m setting up Employee Timecars & I want users to Enter their AL (Annual Leave)

However I don’t want the AL Earning Type to be associated with a Labor Item. Hence I’m runing into this error.

Is there a way around this.

@Avishka Yes. The error you're seeing is consistent with Acumatica's standard validation: a time-card line expects a Labor Item, and Acumatica uses that labor item for labor costing/project-related processing. The documentation describes the Labor Item as a labor-type non-stock item on the time-card line, and says the system normally defaults it from the employee.

I see there are 2 options

Option 1: Best configuration workaround - Create a dedicated Labor Item such as: AL - Annual Leave

Option 2: If you specifically don't want a Labor Item for AL, I would recommend customizing the Employee Time Card validation i.e. Not to display the error message if the Earning Type = AL
