Search starting too fast QoL change

Our company has noticed on every screen, when entering a string into the search bar if they slow down typing even a little bit it will start the search halfway through entering. It seems ridiculously acellerated in 26R1 from our previous version.

Is there a way to slow this down, give it at least 1.5 or even 2 whole seconds before it starts the search? (right now it feels like a quarter second or even less, some of our slower typists find it borderline unusable)

Hi @ChrisB ,

  1. Check which UI your users are on. Classic and Modern UI search boxes can behave differently. If some users are on classic, a quick comparison tells you whether this is specific to one UI.
  2. Open a support case with Acumatica. Describe it as a regression from your previous version. They can tell you if it’s intended, known, or fixable with a patch, and if there’s a hidden or undocumented option, they’re the ones who would know.
  3. Workaround for slow typists. Type or paste the full string elsewhere and copy it into the box, so the search fires once.

Hope above helps!!

Sounds like a plan.

I was really hoping I was just missing an obscure setting, but I will reach out to support.
