There is no direct automated option. But one can create a PO from Sales order using option mentioned on following documentation.

@venukakaushalya43, you can mark for PO on the certain lines that you’d like to convert to a PO.  it’s not an automatic trigger like Vkumar stated but you may be able to create a business event and trigger based off the sales order status.

@venukakaushalya43 I meant to add this originally but mark for PO option is available on the sales order form
