Purpose of Customer Class GL accounts

What might be the purpose of having GL accounts on the Customer Class?  The fields aren’t required and seems redundant.   

The posting class settings seem to override them anyway, and the options for posting class usage is limited to posting class, inventory item and warehouse.

@travislawson  The GL accounts aren’t required on the actual customer class but they are at the customer level.  in my experience, it definitely streamlines data entry when creating new customers

Depending on the setup, posting class may override it but not all customers use the inventory module therefore they wouldn’t configure posting classes and use the default GL accounts from the customer profile.
