I searched but I wasn’t able to find anything.  Has a date announced as to when the 2025 R1 release will be available to all customers. We are currently on 2023 R2 and want to upgrade before the retirement date of that version which I believe is May 30th.   We are looking at going to 2025 R1 instead of 2024 R2.

@eucciferri35 It looks like we’re targeting the 3rd week in March to release this, likely 20th or 21st I think.

Depending on how long you need testing and a sandbox, I wouldn’t recommend going to 25R2. The first few releases are always buggy, and you need to keep upgrading to the next level. It’s not as hard as going from one version (23) to another (25), but still it’s work.

We started on 2023 R1 and upgraded to 2024 R1.  We plan on sticking with annual major upgrades (plus minor patches) and going to 2025 R1 once the first few minor updates are released to address bugs discovered in early general release adoption.

We are going to 2025 R1 but we are going to start testing with the first build but we are going to keep it in the test environment until the 2nd build unless testing goes extremely well without any glitches. We’ve been on Acumatica since 2020 so we have been through a few upgrades.

I’ve found some dept are better than others in testing and what they do for testing.  I went through and created a detail plan on each modules of scenarios that need to be tested. It’s always best to catch an issue in the test environment rather than the live file.

100%.  I’m not sure how large you are but we have a team of about 6 that basically led our implementation and went through our testing scenarios from 2023R1 to 2024R1.  We were pretty successful with that and only found a couple of small things missed after the upgrade.  We’ll likely go the same route again, but likely with a more detailed testing script for each module.

So excited about 2025 R1.  I will upgrade on build 3 or build 4.

Why can’t I upgrade locally 2024R2 build 209 to 2025R1 build 25.100.0054 (non cloud)?

Error:

Upgrade process has been interrupted. The database cannot be upgraded because your current build (24.209.0013) is incompatible with the build (25.100.0054) you want to install. Wait for the next update package that will be compatible with your current build.

The release notes of 2025R1 mentions nothing about this.
