I’ve tried installing the Acumatica Power BI template app on multiple machines under different accounts and am unable to install it.  Other Power BI template apps install fine, but the Acumatica app gives the same error every time.  Would love to know if anyone else is currently able to install it or if there’s a problem with the app that is currently posted.

Update: it’s not just me.  Apparently the Acumatica Template App for Power BI isn’t work anymore, at least not to install it!  Doesn’t seem like there are a lot of people trying to use Power BI given the thundering silence on here about it.

Hi @fosterjeff01 ,

I haven’t messed with the Template App, but it’s not required to use data out of Acumatica in Power BI.  I have some GI’s exposed to OData, which then refresh into Power BI data pools nightly.  It’s been a huge benefit for folks that need data-demanding answers.

In addition to @Laura02 ‘s post, here’s a link to one of the Help articles:

Hope that gets you pointed in the right direction!

Thanks Craig.  Good to know.  Definitely my first foray into Power BI, so it seemed like the template app would be a good place to start, but will also look into starting from scratch if needed.

No worries at all!  I should make one correction, the link above is instructions for OData connections into DACs (so the full contents of individual tables).

These are the instructions for getting rolling with GI’s (which is what I primarily use):

Good luck!
