Will updating the extended price/cost calculate the unit price/cost?

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a way to get the system to calculate the unit price/cost by updating the ext price/cost

Updating the Unit Price to $700 calculated the Ext. Price to $4,200
However, updating the Ext. Price did not automatically update the Unit Price

Is it possible for this to happen?

Thanks

Hi @aidenwills15 ,

By default, Acumatica does not support the feature of updating the unit price while updating the ext price. Therefore, we need to do a small customization to support this functionality.

@aidenwills15 If you do not want to proceed with Customization, the alternative option will be setting the View Only permission (Select) for Extended Cost. This way the users always have to enter Qty and Unit Price and the Ext Cost will be calculated accordingly. Of course, @jinin suggestion also is another option if you require a back calc of the unit rate from Ext cost.

This is bug because you can create a disparity between the Ext. Cost and Unit Cost.
