I have a sales order which has partial shipments. My understanding is that If something in the order has shipped but not everything in the order has shipped, it should be in backorder status.
So in this case the SO should show as ‘Back Order’, instead SO shows status as ‘Open’.

Do you have total items not shipped or a smaller qty of one item? Meaning, I have shipped all of part A, and none of Part B. Or some of Part A and some of Part B. I have seen if everything has shipped against a line item, but nothing on a second line item, the status stays as open. But if I shipped a partial of one line item, it will move to Back Ordered.
