when Sales order not using approval setting, how to solve a back order status in sales order turn into waiting approval if the user change any of the column in detail line ? because approval action is not working..

If your looking for order to be edited when status is “Pending for Approval”. Can you try placing the order on hold by clicking on Hold check box and save. This will move to order status to on hold and you can edit the order. Once order edit is completed. Can you remove the order from hold by unchecking the hold check box.

Document should not have moved to Pending approval since approval is not enabled. Try toggle the ‘Require approval’ setting and save.
-check the option and save
-uncheck ‘require approval’ and save again.
Try modify the order again and check if it moves to pending approval status.

i can’t modify anything as long as the status still in pending approval, the only thing i can do is just select reject from action menu and the status become rejected
