I am trying to update the Item attribute for a stock item and it is not ediable.
The attribute category belongs to “ Variant” and not a child item.
Any Suggestions

Does anyone have any idea why this is the default behavior? We modify our ‘variant’ attribute very frequently for non template related items. We have to assign them to a dummy template item to update the attribute, then unassign. This workaround works, but it's very frustrating, and I can't understand why this behavior exists.
