Tracking Steel Inventory UoM (bars, sheets)

Hello Acumatica Community,

As a boat manufacturer, we procure aluminum in bars and send them to an external company for cutting into sheets. How can we effectively track this process in Acumatica, to keep consistency with Item IDs and managing Unit of Measure (UOM) conversions seamlessly?
