We have a situation where a shopify order passed into Acu - shipped - invoiced with payment.  Then customer called and claimed fraud so Shopify refunded the customer and canceled the order.  Does connector handle this a specific way?

@nshah90 Acumatica allows you to use tags to identify and filter orders before importing them into the system. If an order is marked as a Fraud Order in Shopify, we can map or identify that tag in the corresponding entity and use it as a filtering condition in the import process. This will allow us to identify orders flagged as fraudulent and exclude them from being imported into Acumatica.

Thank you @ranjithduraisamy72 The order can in as a regular order not flagged as fraudulent.  The customer called after the fact and reported the credit card charge on the order was fraudulent and by that time the order was already fulfilled in Acumatica.

The situation, with example amounts:

A customer disputed a credit card charge and the bank ruled in their favor. The order was roughly $100. On the Shopify payout a few days later, that $100 came out along with a separate $15 chargeback fee. On a later payout, the $100 was added back and a slightly larger amount (about $102.50) was taken out.

So the net effect across two payouts is a set of debits and credits that don’t tie cleanly to a single order, and all of it is buried inside bulk deposits that cover many orders.

Two things I’m trying to get right:

  1. How to record the chargeback amounts so they can be included in a Shopify Clearing → bank deposit alongside the normal order payments. Since these are multi-order payment deposits, I need the chargeback debits and credits to land in the same deposit so the clearing account actually reconciles.
  2. How to bill the customer for the full chargeback total, including the fees. We want to invoice them back for what the bank pulled, not just write it off.

@nshah90 The Shopify connector doesn't read disputes or payouts in 2026 R1, so this is manual entry on the Acumatica side.

Set up two entry types on Entry Types (CA203000), one Disbursement and one Receipt, both with a Default Offset Account you set aside for chargebacks. Add both to the Entry Types tab of your Shopify clearing account in Cash Accounts (CA202000), or Cash Transactions won't offer them.

Then enter each chargeback line from the payout as a Cash Transaction (CA304000) on the clearing account: Disbursement for money out (the $100, the $15 fee, the $102.50) and Receipt for the $100 that came back. Batch Deposit is selected automatically on a clearing account. Once released, they're listed under Add Payment on Bank Deposits (CA305000) with the order payments, and on the deposit the Deposit Amount column carries the sign. Put each one in the deposit for the payout it came on and the clearing account nets to zero.

For billing, the chargeback account now carries the net, about $117.50 with your numbers. Invoice the customer on Invoices and Memos (AR301000) with one line on that account. Releasing the invoice moves the balance into AR and leaves the original invoice and payment alone.

I ran your amounts through a 2026 R1 test tenant end to end and the chargeback account came back to zero. Try one in your own test tenant before production.
