I’m trying to figure out why Acumatica changed the ShipAddressID on an order and what that means.

I don’t see any visible changes to the order, nor can I figure out what these numbers mean. It did however remove the salesperson ID from the order lines.

Hi @Jeff96

My best guess is that someone overrode the address on the sales order.  When you do that, it creates a new address record and associates the sales order with that new address record.

Best,

David

If so, that would be in the history, it isn’t.

Hi @Jeff96 . I see that the user who created the change is admin. Is it possible that you have a business event checking or unchecking the Override button on the Ship To Address? I am dealing with a similar issue right now and I am getting the results from your screenshot.

No I don’t. Curious, are these orders connected to Shopify? If yes, I think there is something big going with Shopify and locations that has no clear answer. See this link.

@Jeff96 are you doing address verification?

-Dana

P.S.  We can also chat about this when we meet.

No address verification.

This usually happens when the shipping address is refreshed or re defaulted on the Sales Order (for example, due to changes in customer/location, address validation, or updates from related documents).

When that occurs, Acumatica may assign a new Ship Address , even if the visible address looks the same. This can also trigger recalculation of related fields, such as salesperson assignment on the lines.

I don’t think that’s the case, but let’s say it is, how do we prevent the salesperson being removed?
