Replenishment

i would like to clarify the availability of a batch number or reference number for the Inventory Replenishment process in Acumatica ERP.

Currently, we use the Prepare Replenishment (IN508000) screen to process replenishment requests. We have also identified the Replenishment Numbering Sequence setting (INREPL) in Inventory Preferences (IN101000). However, we could not find a replenishment batch number displayed in the Prepare Replenishment screen.

Our Procurement team needs a reference number to identify and track replenishment requests by period, for example, requests prepared for October 2026.

Could you please clarify the following?

  1. Does Acumatica provide a standard replenishment batch number or request reference number when processing replenishment through IN508000?

  2. If such a number exists, where can users view it, and how can they trace it to the resulting Purchase Orders or Transfer Orders?

  3. What is the purpose of the Replenishment Numbering Sequence (INREPL)? Does it generate an individual replenishment request number, a batch number, or another internal identifier?

  4. Does the standard functionality support grouping replenishment requests by processing period and assigning a single reference number to each group?

  5. If this functionality is not available by default, can it be achieved through standard configuration or Generic Inquiry (GI), without a customization project?

i would appreciate your clarification on the standard functionality and the recommended approach to meet this requirement.

I assume the replenishment number is used to distinguish which user is doing replenishment.  The DACs are INReplenishmentOrder And INReplenshmentLine.  The data is sent to the Create Purchase Order or Create Transfer Order process screens and they are used to create the actual supply orders.

Hi,

The Prepare Replenishment screen calculates the quantities to process, either transfer from one warehouse to another or purchase. There will be only one line per Item for a specific warehouse.

Then, each time you process the replenishment, there will be a INReplenishmentOrder (Replenishment Order) created using the INRepl as the ID. You can create a GI to display them.

Each Replenishment order can have multiple lines (stored in INItemPlan, relation made on NoteID).

Then, the user has either to go to Create Purchase orders or Create Transfer Orders to create documents.

Once the purchase order is created, the noteID in IemPlan changes to link to the PO. However, the DAC InReplenishmentLine is updated with the InReplID.

By using GI, you can display Replenishment Orders before and after a document has been created.
