Purpose of Calendar under Customer record

Hello all,

I would like to know the purpose of Calendar under Customers (AR303000)→ Shipping tab.

 

I’m looking to setup the calendar where whenever the sales orders is created the Shipment should be generate for Monday. How can I set this up out of the box?

Work calendars are used by activity/time-card logic to choose a working date/start time and calculate overtime when an activity is tied to a project task or case for that customer location. 

In the shipments and sales orders, the calendar logic is not used.

hi ​@vshashkova , thanks for your response. So in that case if I’m looking where whenever the sales orders is created the Shipment should be generate for Monday. How can I set this up out of the box?

@Harry there are no special settings to do it out of the box automatically but you can try to set up an import scenario to update it.
