Hello!
It is able to change the details of the sales order though it is in the open status, especially the quantity and the price.
Is there is a way to prevent making changes to an order which is in the open status?

You would have to modify the Sales Order Workflow using a customisation for the ‘Open’ Status and set the fields/tables to be disabled. So I presume at Open you want nothing to be allowed to change like the purchase order does.
So a user would have to bring it back to the Hold Status to change it?
