Prevent freight from being taxed when using Avalara

Is there a way to stop freight lines from being taxed on invoices. We have implemented avalara avatax.

@nshah90 you can specify the tax category on the ship via code to Exempt. can you please try in a test environment and advise if that worked! TIA

There is a setting in Avalara for freight and you can make it exempt.

I would suggest reaching out to Avalara’s support.
