We have a Shipment that we had a picklist generated for. The Picker did NOT pick the item in question. The Shipment however shows it as being shipped out. Why? And how do I prevent this going forward?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi @Michael Hansen , what version do you have? Are you sure that the Picker did NOT pick the item?

Could you please describe the steps?

  1. create sales order
  2. create shipment
  3. create pick list
  4. what’s next?

This is standard Acumatica behavior. Even picking is enabled, it’s not required. You can confirm a shipment without picking and the items will show shipped.

If you have a shipment with two items and only pick and ship one, you will need to remove the item not shipped from the shipment.

@Jeff96 Any way to MAKE IT REQUIRED? Be nice to know that if it wasn’t scanned, it wasn’t picked at all. Or at least to have a pop-up window or something inform the user that you only picked half the goods and are about to override that with your shipment confirmation.

@Julia Lukina - Step #4 is someone hitting confirm shipment without the user actually picking the items. 22 R1 is the version.

No

@Michael Hansen , you can restrict access to Confirm Shipment button from the SO302000 screen for most users in the system and keep it for a couple managers (for an emergency) and additionally turn on Field Level Audit to know who exactly pressed the button.
