I would like to grouped sales by parent/child in generic inquiry to use in a dashboard table. Can someone help with this?

You can add formulas to grouping in a GI. You can do something like this as a calculated field in the grid and also in the grouping tab of the GI…
ISNULL([Customer.ParentBAccount],[Customer.BAccount])
This will group totals by Parent account, as well as the customer account when there is no parent account.
You can also add a pivot table to the GI which might do what you need.
