Non - Stock Kit: Change components in SalesOrder or Shipment

There is no way to do that. 

Furthermore, if you edit a NS kit components while you have an open order/shipment, it will give you an error and won’t allow you to confirm the shipment if you require to pack the items into a box.

You can change the components in the "Kit Specifications" screen. You should create multiple Non-Stock Kit codes corresponding to different types of components for convenience during use.

This is a Labs program, that our development team is using to trial Kit improvements, including component substitution.

While you would need to apply to enter the Lab program, our development team should be using the Lab to collect feedback and improve Non Stock Kits in the core product in the future!
