Hi Community!

Anyone else having trouble publishing the lot serial attribute github customization for 24r1? I’ve been using this customization for years but not I’m getting this error when trying to publish: Error during file upload: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

This is for 24.104.0008

Hi,

The lot/serial attribute customization on GitHub has been updated to a newer version that is compatible for 23R1 and onward.  Here is the link to the GitHub site:

Hi @estebanperalta54

Do you have access to a local/sandbox instance that you can test this on?

If you doe, you should take a snapshot of your current system, then upload this snapshot to a sandbox/local instance, then select the snapshot and press restore snapshot.

Then you should publish all applicable customisations to the local/sandbox, make sure to unpublish all, then publish all customisations at the same time.

The file upload part usually means its an issue with the files within the customisation project.

Maybe downloading another copy of the project from github and attempting with that could help.

Hope this helps!

Aleks

@estebanperalta54 is the customization already loaded as a package on the customization projects screen? i’ve had that error before and it was because the package was already there.  i had to change the name on the package i was importing.

@Dana Moffat newer to acumatica but this feature seems like it might solve a few of my problems, works well on purchase order receipts, but i couldn’t process move transactions with attributes against production order.

I installed the 2024R2 package since we are using Acumatica 2024 R2 - which I thought would be latest version, so would include feature from 2023R1: https://github.com/Acumatica/Acumatica-LotSerialNbrAttribute-2023R1-ONWARD/tree/2024R2

Maybe I’m misunderstanding the versions? Or might have something in my settings incorrect…

Would you recommend the same in your comment above for me, Should I change to the 2023R1-ONWARD ?  Or you recommend I go through my settings?

We have that loaded.  What’s happening is the attributes aren’t changeable on the move transaction.  I can use the Add Serial/Lots on the Materials screen, but not able to put attributes on the Move transactions.  I can set the Lot/Serial and Mfg Lot, but not the attributes.  No combinations of settings on the Lot Class make this available.
