I have no idea where to look for any customizations and where to look for the trace.

Trace can be found in Tools → Trace, right-hand corner.
Customizations can be found in (More Items) Customizations → Customization Projects. Members of Customizer Role can see Customizations. I recommend working with your developers or Acumatica Partner to test customizations.

Laura is correct on where to find Trace and Customizations. Depending on your permissions you should be able to see the items. If not contact your admin and ask for the permissions.
so the problem was resolved. The user was trying to ‘ENTER PO RECEIPT” on a PO that was already receipted. That is why the error message popped up.
