Hi @all,

our client creates non-stock kits as templates.

When they add those templates to a Quote or Sales Order they want to change components and quantities there.

Does anyone know, if this is possible? Or do you have any idea, how to solve this requirement?

Kind regards

Michael

@mkoch  Currently, it is not feasible to modify components at the Quote or Sales Order level using standard functionality.

However, this can be achieved through customization. I have developed similar customizations for other clients. If your client requires this functionality, please let me know, and we can discuss the requirements in detail.

Here is my example.

STEP 1: Non-Stock Item created and declared as Kit

STEP 2: Non-Stock Kit created

STEP 3: Add Non-Stock Kit to Sales Quote

Hi @mkoch

Because "Non-Stock kit can contain only one revision" so when you change components I think you should create other "Non-Stock kits" and add numbers after "Kit Inventory ID" to understand that it is a revision of the original "Non-Stock kit".

For example: FOO-002; FOO-003 (Non-Stock kit was originally FOO)

Best Regards,

NNT

@nhatnghetinh, thank you for your answer.

I hoped that it is possible to change the components of the kit withot creating a new kit oder a new kit revision.

Example:

  • Create kit 4711 with revision ABC
  • Add this kit in Sales Quote
  • Edit this kit in Sales Quote. For example add a component.

I'm afraid my plan isn't feasible.
If anyone does have an idea, I'd be happy to hear your feedback.

Thank you, @Naveen Boga.

Our client will not use kits. He decided to use manufacturing module.

But I will keep that in mind 😀
