Hi ,

Can we set up a minimum order quantity for an stock item which needs to be considered when calculating the quantity to replenish.

Example : There is a item which need to be ordered at least 1000 qty for an each order. Otherwise it is not profitable with the high transport cost.

Thank you,

Dulanjana

There are a few ways to do this, but the easiest would be to set a Min (reorder qty) and a Max.  You would then need to put a vendor Lot size in at the vendor level (or vendor min qty) at 1000, since you would want to make sure that you don’t by less than this.

A min vendor qty would be you could buy 1000, 1001, 235000, but not 999. A vendor lot size would be the case were you can buy 1000, 2000, 3000 but not 1050.

hope that helps
