Distribution Requirement Planning DRP

How do you have a distribution addition and not include DRP in it? I find it curious that if this is such a need functionality, why is it not core to the product? Thoughts?

    I think because Acumatica charged extra for MRP in manufacturing.  DRP is essentially just MRP for distribution companies.

    Hi  ​@mscardina54 , the main reason is that this feature is considered advanced functionality, which not all customers are willing to pay for. Instead of including it in the core package and increasing the price, we offer it as an add-on for those customers who truly want it.
